1870 3CS Three Cent Silver ANACS certified AU details net EF 45 scratched ? die abrasion?.... looking with my 30x loop the only thing I can see that are flaws are some hairline die abrasions on the field on the obverse outside and inside of the star, they even go BEHIND the shield lines (how can this be a scratch). They say these are scratches so I guess they are but maybe this is a candidate for re-certifying.
Regardless this is a great circulated? grade in an affordable price range on a very rare coin.

I've researched on the net how many coin collectors there are in the USA. One site said 150 million but that is probably everyone who ever saved a state quarter or presidential dollar. Other sites said 1 to 10 million, and the lowest figure was a possible low of 100,000 active serious collectors. My bet is its over 1 million... Another site said there are at least 5000 coin dealers in the US.
