    Description

During the 1890's there was a populist political movement to add silver dollars to the currency of the USA. The movements voice was William Jennings Bryan who gave the "Cross of gold" speech while running for President twice and losing both times. Some metal smiths made fake silver dollars of many metals in many sizes to sell to both support the movement and mock it. This is one of those "dollars" made of cast iron, and 3 1/2 inches in diameter.  So it obviously is well over 100 years old. It has surface rust from lack of care, but is an authentic historical object from earlier in US history. It weighs 12 ounces and is approx. 1/4 inches thick. Shipping is included in the final bid price to any continental USA destination. State sales tax is extra. Have Fun !
