1947 California Commercial Truck License Plates M9659, DMV Clear, Need Restoring

This is a matched pair of 1947 California commercial (truck) license plates, number M9659. I checked with the California DMV on Thursday 7/1/2021, and they are DMV clear, and this number can be registered to a 1947-1950 truck under the year of manufacture program. These plates can be registered to any 1947 through 1950 truck, as long as you have the correct year tag. There is no tag included in this auction, but the tags are usually readily available on Ebay. If you're putting these on a 1947 truck, no tag is required.
These plates are pretty rough. They've pretty much been stripped down to the bare metal, and in some spots on both plates, there are spots that are rusted all the way through, as seen in the pictures with the plates against the light. There's some dents, but nothing real bad. These plates will need to be refurbished or restored to be accepted by the DMV.                   .
As per Ebay's licence plate policy, I am stating that these plates are at least 3 years old.
I will guarantee these plates to be received as described, and the number to be DMV clear for 30 days from the date received. I can NOT guarantee that the DMV will accept them due to their condition.
I have some other 1947 plates listed in my other auctions, and also a few tags.

All plates are packed in new boxes that are big enough to allow room for plenty of padding. I guarantee you will NOT receive a damaged item (like many that I have bought). Free USPS Priority Mail shipping is included. I ship within one working day of receipt of payment. The post office and Fedex are experiencing delays due to so much online shopping during the pandemic, so delays that are out of my control may happen.
