    Description

    1960 Colorado East Tincup Dollar. So-called Dollar. Gilt Bronze.
    33 mm. HK-585. Privately issued to commemorate the centennial celebrations in Colorado and sold at "East Tincup," Colorado, a replica mining town of the 1880s that opened as a tourist attraction. Listed as "very scarce" in the 1963 Hibler-Kappen standard reference. Designed by W. M. Weber, Jr., operator of enterprise; 1,000 struck by Wendell-Northwestern; sold for . The obverse features horse and rider galloping. The reverse features a horse galloping in center oval.
