    Description

    This is a very rare original piece of WW2 Douglas Aircraft memorabilia! It is a 45-rpm record record titled "The Douglas Gooney Bird - A Song About the Douglas DC-3" as sung by Oscar Brand from his Elektra album 'Up in the Air"" The record was pressed especially for the Douglas Aircraft Company by Elektra Records.
    Condition is excellent! Has the original jacket with a cartoon-like drawing illustration of the airplane. Has the original inner sleeve as well! The record appears to have never been played - no scratches or wear, just some dust.
    On the B-side is a song titled "Masters of the Air"
    The Gooney Bird was the nickname given to the C-47 aircraft which was developed for the military as a transport aircraft derived from the DC-3. It saw service during World War 2.
