    HISTORIC ACOMA BLACK & WHITE POTTERY CANTEEN, LUG HANDLES, EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION, CIRCA 1890
    Traditionally, canteens were made at the pueblos for the men to fill with water and take to the fields with them.
    This unique bulbous canteen seems to have the dual purpose of being able to sit upright on a table as a drinking vessel.
    The beautiful 19th C paint decoration has some neat bold graphic designs including a Greek Key hooked pattern at center.
    Fresh to the marketplace.
    As good as it gets for a 19th C Pueblo Pottery item in original condition.
    Exceptional paint decoration, proportions and condition.  Measures approximately 5” D x 6” H.
