These car license plates are used still to this day, for allowing property owners of the exclusive Pebble Beach, California community to enter freely in and out of 5 different 24-hour man-guarded gate entrances. The badges are attached to the front of your car for one year, then removed to make place for the next year's badge.  These badges began in 1928 and are extremely rare.
PRO CLEANING TIP:
You will notice that some of them have already been cleaned and a few are a bit dirty. For the dirty ones, I suggest taking some warm soapy water and a sponge or wet rag, and scrub them. They should come out great looking. One added trick is to take some 3-in-1 oil, or DW40 home spray oil, and put on a nice top coat over the painted surface, let oil soak for about 10 minutes, then polish off the oil with a soft dry rag or paper towel. WILL LOOK FANTASTIC and have a great sheen.
