Description
Measuring 16” long by 5” wide and 6” tall, this original Western Bronze Sculpture is signed along the base “Boulton” as well as “Sc ©.” Joseph M. Lorkowski Boulton (1896-1981) was a New York City sculptor, painter, teacher and taxidermist. He was well known for his accuate and detailed bronze sculptures of Wild Animals and American Indians. He studied at the National Academy of Design and was also associated with the Allied Artists of American, Hudson River Valley Association and the Salmagundi Club in New York....... This 20th century Joseph Boulton Bronze Sculpture depicts a Mountain Cougar in the crouching position and ready to spring on an unsuspecting prey. It retains its original dark patina and is in perfect condition, with no restorations.
