UNIT HAS BEEN TESTED AND WORKS PERFECTLY! NO DISAPPOINTMENTS HERE!!!
CAME FROM A FEDERAL UNIVERSITY LAB, HAD BEEN IN STORAGE FOR MANY A YEARS, LOOKS LIKE HAS BEEN USED VERY LITTLE.
HAS BEEN EXTREMELY WELL TAKEN CARE OF, IT IS IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURES.

Unit can be used as a tabletop unit or to replace a microtome in a cryo chamber setup.
Both microtome knives are free from nicks, one of them actually looks as though it has NEVER been used.
"This is a Lipshaw Manufacturing Company microtome.
This device is used make very thin slices of samples to use in slides for electron microscopes.
We got this one from a Texas University auction.
When you crank the handle the top of the unit oscillates up and down.
There is another crank that can be used to adjust thickness from 0-30 microns.
This item is heavy, approx 45 lbs.
