    Description

    I have for sale a 1933 medal that commemorates the start of the Santa Monica Breakwater in Santa Monica, California.  This medal is aluminum, it is 1 1/2 inch in diameter and in uncirculated condition with field marks on the reverse.  The medal was struck by the Los Angeles Rubber Stamp company.  The obverse reads SOUVENIR BREAKWATER 1933 - SANTA MONICA, CALIF.  In the center it show aerial view of  Breakwater, pier and yacht basin.   The reverse reads SOUVENIR FROM CALIFORNIA'S PLAYGROUND - OCEAN PARK.  In the center it shows a female on the beach and amusement park in the background.  In tiny letters at the bottom rim it reads L.A.R.S.
