    The scalpel, mouth mirror, otoscope and stethoscope uses 2 G13 (LR44) size batteries. Batteries are included and it makes these items light up. Stethoscope makes sound.
    In this set even though it is new and never been used it appears that the batteries of the otoscope is weak and lights bearly visible. I was able to discover it because there is window for trying out. The batteries are replaceble and despite this small issue it is still a lot of fun to play pretend doctor and nurse, and this set is not small, but rather bigger (16 pieces).
